Since Cameron Smith founded CSA in 1994, he and his team have been credited with luring hundreds of Walmart supplier offices into Northwest Arkansas, creating thousands of high-paying jobs.
A leader in the supplier community, Cameron is actively involved in efforts to enhance technology, international trade opportunities, and higher educational resources available to world-class companies working in conjunction with Walmart. He was recognized by Arkansas Business as the 2014 Business Executive of the Year.
A California native and former professional fast-pitch softball pitcher, Cameron spearheaded conversion of girls’ softball from slow-pitch to fast-pitch in the state of Arkansas.
Cameron is married to Monica Smith, who is also the CFO of the company. Together they enjoy participating in community events and spending time with their children and grandchildren.
Steve Lockwood joins Cameron Smith & Associates leading the Construction, Project and Facilities Management executive search division. A Certified Facility Manager and IFMA Fellow, he brings over 35 years of experience in the construction and facilities management fields.
Steve has managed construction and facilities projects for Meijer Inc., Steelcase Inc., NASA (CIESIN) along with numerous high-profile projects throughout the country. In addition, he has developed and continues to consult with construction and facilities management academic programs for colleges and universities throughout Asia, Europe and the United States where he lectured and taught at Michigan State University, Ferris State University and North Dakota State University.
Most recently, Steve has been active working with Lockwood 2 Creations working on office projects for vendors in the Northwest Arkansas area along with headed up the IFMA Foundation, Academic Affairs and Global Workforce Initiative, both focused on developing the next generation of workers for the Built Environment career fields. Steve continues to be an active speaker, presenter and contributor for numerous Facilities and Construction Management conferences and publications.
Steve earned his Construction Management degree from Ferris State University and his Master’s degree in Facilities / Construction Management from Michigan State University.
In his free time, he enjoys running, hiking and spending his time traveling with his wife Lisa to Europe and throughout the United States. Not to mention visiting their daughters and granddaughter in Atlanta and Grand Rapids.
Carly is the go-to person for office operations at Cameron Smith & Associates. Carly facilitates interviews and meetings, provides technical support for the team, and explains the fine points of applicant tracking systems and candidate portals. In addition, she handles contracts, social media, business tracking, and event planning.
Before joining CSA in 2013, Carly owned and operated a Walmart / Sam’s Club vendor support services company in which she worked directly with Walmart buyers and vendors to install Layout Center fixture displays. In the field she coordinated with store planning and store managers on the installation of self-checkout and POS setups. Prior roles include supplier Retail Link Analyst and Walmart Stores Information Division Store Planning Support.
When not working, Carly enjoys spending time with her husband Chris and traveling with their two children, Ethan and Angelina.
